Glass Ranch has been created by Garry Cohen and Cherrie La Porte Cohen at their residence in Escondido with a hot shop for blowing glass, a fused glass studio, a sculpture garden, mosaic ponds and a glass gallery.  Their contemporary glass gallery is set amongst their unique sculpture garden where you can view their latest creations of Blown Glass, Fused Glass Sculpture, Glass Jewelry, Bronze Sculpture, Garden Art and Mobiles available for purchase.
The landscape, with a view of Lake Hodges, is designed with many spaces and is an art showcase created by the couple with paths that lead you to interesting large glass panels, hanging dichroic glass mobiles and a mosaic pond in the shape of a snake giving visitors a chance to become inspired with ideas for their own environment.
Glass Ranch is a blend of eclectic artistic vision of glass, metal and nature worth visiting. The artist couple also specializes in applying their talents in design to personalize special places in your own environment, be it exterior in your landscape or a special place indoors that needs a unique accent. They have designed custom glass sculptures for both private homes and business offices.
Their clients have enjoyed the way they combine the fusion of glass, metal, bronze, cement and other local materials to create their particular project.  Garry and Cherrie look forward to consulting with you to develop a unique creation based on your ideas for your home or landscape.

Glass Ranch Garden Mulch   Revitalize your landscape with unusual glass pieces from the artist studio.
Add colorful glass to the garden or water feature that will definitely get noticed.

At  Glass Ranch we have been blowing glass at our private studio called Glass Ranch in Escondido for over 5 years and have been amazed and mystified by the unusual shapes, colors, and whimsical happenstance that is often created by the glass artist.  Our garden glass mulch is recycled colorful art glass remnants from beautiful blown glass pieces that can only be found at the artist studio.    What we have done is taken these colorful whimsical elements of recycled glass, smoothed their edges and use the treated glass decoratively as a garden mulch blend.  We find that the usage of the garden mulch enhances specialized areas in our garden and landscape.  The photo below of the cactus is one example of a glass mulch application.
At our annual
Glass Ranch open studio tour, where we have our glass mulch on display in our garden, we have found positive interest in the form of sales of the mulch to our visitors.   We offer an alternative to standard mulches and the use of this glass mulch is a unique way of upping the aesthetic value of a landscape. The application of our glass mulch has a large variety of interesting uses such landscape borders, contained garden plots, flower pots, ponds, water fountains, pathways, and can be embedded as mosaics to name a few. With the right design and artistry, our glass mulch would revitalize a garden landscape into a beautiful work of art in a new and unusual way.  10 lbs covers one square foot with 1 inch layer of glass mulch and wholesales for $1.50 a pound.
